My name is Alex Carrigan. I’m a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in print/online journalism and a minor in world cinema. I am currently an intern for the Cambridge Writers’ Workshop, as well as Staff Film Reviewer for Quail Bell Magazine. I have written articles for The Commonwealth Times and have had work featured in Luna Luna Magazine. I am also a creative writer and have had work published in Amendment Literary Journal and I have also had work published with Poictesme Literary Journal, of which I was a staff member for four years, two of which I was deputy editor-in-chief.
I will be using this site as my resume and portfolio. I will feature work I have gotten published here. I hope to use this site to help further my career as a writer. Follow me here and on my various social media accounts to see more of what I write and what I am paying attention to.
The subjects that interest me the most are film, criticism, literature, art, television, and music. I hope to work for an arts publication or a professional literary magazine someday, so I’m trying my hardest to acclimate myself to that kind of environment.
